Hi! My name is Mary, and I am just about to start my fourth year as an elementary school counselor. I work in a rural, K-5 building with about 420 students. I have spent the last three years developing my program and forming relationships with my students, staff, and other stakeholders, and while I still have a lot of developing to go (that's a task that is never-ending), I feel ready to share ideas with you, other school counselors looking for fresh ideas and fun ways of connecting with your students.
I wouldn't have survived my first two years as a counselor if it weren't for all of the other counselors out there who blog and share their tricks of the trade. I'm constantly grateful for counseling Facebook groups, Pinterest, and blogs to get my mind rolling when I'm stuck for an idea.
